OK, so you've read all my past few emails encouraging you to get involved in network marketing and you may
be thinking, “Neat story, I still ain’t selling anything.” OK, then maybe network marketing isn’t for you.
Maybe selling face to face is just not your thing. That’s cool, there are other options that are a lot of fun and
very lucrative.
Affiliate Programs – In my opinion, people just don’t know enough about these. Practically every website out
there that sells something has what is called an affiliate program. Basically it works like this, if you sign up to
“sell” their product or products, you will get money from them. It’s that simple. I put the quotes around sell
because you aren’t really selling anything. It’s not like you’re going door to door selling knives or anything
like that. If you take a look at almost any website they have suggestions. Take suggested reading for
example. On my website I have a list of suggested readings. If you were to go onto my site, see a book you
found of interest and clicked on it, you would be routed over to Amazon.com. If you purchased that book,
then I would get a small commission for it. You wouldn’t have any idea that things were different because
your transaction looks the same as if you were to have found the book yourself on Amazon. You could
literally create a website at home and put a ton of stuff on there from various affiliate programs you belong
to and you could make a killing.
There is only one trick to that, letting people know about your website. That isn’t easy, but there are a lot of
things that can be done to help with that. I can’t give all my tricks away, but I will tell you some.
SEO – that stands for search engine optimization. In simple terms that means will people be able to Google
your subject and pull up your site? If you’re not a website pro but you’re doing your website yourself, don’t
count on it getting in the top 5 list for quite some time.
Click Ads – You can pay to have your ad appear to the right of the results field in Google or Yahoo or I’m
sure many others. You pay a per click fee. It can be as low as $.05 per click and I’ve seen as high as $5.00
per click and I’m sure they have higher ones than that. The way that works is this. Say you set up a site
that had a ton of gift ideas you had found on Amazon. You create your site and then sign up for Click Ads
with Google. You decide your key words are “gifts for dad”. Well when someone types in those key words
your ad will appear on the right side of the screen. If someone clicks on it, you have to pay the fee but now
people are becoming aware of your site.
By the way, since you have a website you can sign up for Ad Sense with Google too. That means those
same people that pay for ad clicks can advertise on your site. When someone clicks on it, you get a
commission. I make about $300.00 a month from Ad Sense now THAT is some passive income.
There are a lot of other things you can do in order to bring hits to your site, but again I can’t just give away
all of my secrets. There are some strong proven techniques out there that can help you with this. Yes you
will have to pay for it. I get a lot of people that ask if it’s true or if it’s a rip off. Let me answer it this way.
It is my belief that most things out there are legitimate, but the few that aren’t can ruin it for everyone. If
someone (say me) is suggesting you purchase a product then I’m getting money, the person who created to
product is getting paid and the affiliate website I signed up with is getting paid every time someone takes my
suggestion and purchases the product. If the product is a scam and doesn’t work, then a customer can
return it and the money gets returned. That hurts! So if a product is being returned a lot, then it gets
pulled and the author is investigated.
So in summary, yes there are legitimate work from home opportunities available out there. You just have to
remember that you are looking for something that is outside the box of “norm” and so you are going to have
to start thinking outside the box. Don’t do what I did and wait until you’re days away from being homeless
before your light bulb goes on, start taking your steps towards financial freedom now.
One final thought. I’m not an economist or anything like that so this is really just my two cents. I live in
California and the other day I read an article that said Mervyn's was going out of business. They’ve been
around for 50 years! We have all these places like that going under while big malls and Superstores are
popping up. It is my theory that the next wave of shopping is slowly beginning. People are going to
continue at great paces making purchases from the Internet and from network marketing companies. I go to
the grocery store purchase food and that’s about it. I buy clothes and shoes on-line, gifts and electronics
on-line and my health supplements from a network marketer. Just look at the Christmas shopping statistics.
Each year the percentage of people that shop for gifts on-line goes up and the percentage of mall shoppers
goes down. If I’m even half right, don’t you want to establish your business at the beginning?
